Welcome to the Centennial College Transfer Credit Online Application. Transfer credit is awarded for courses previously taken at the postsecondary level through recognized educational institutions. Transfer credit is indicated as "TCR" on transcripts and not included in GPA calculations. Core courses must have been completed within the past 5 years to be considered for transfer credit; 10 years for GNED and COMM.

Transfer Credit is not available for the following programs:
*General Arts & Science – English for Academic Purposes
*BScN (students must apply through Toronto Metropolitan University, formerly Ryerson)
*UTSC Joint Programs (students must apply through UTSC for transfer credit)

Transfer Credit is not available for the following programs except COMM and GNED elective courses:
*Bridging to University Nursing – 9251
*Bridging to University Nursing - INTL Level 1 – 9252
*Bridging to University Nursing – Flex - 9253
*Bridging to University Nursing – 7993
*Aviation Techn. – Aircraft – 8112
*Aviation Techn. – Avionics – 8113
*Aviation Techy - Aircft Maint & Mgmt – 8312
*Aviation Techy - Avion Maint & Mgmt – 8313

Transfer Credit is not available for:
*Fast-Track programs, when using courses taken as part of the program/credential used for Fast-Track admission
*Courses for which a previous transfer credit has been issued
*any COMM courses, except for when the student has placed into COMM 170/171 through the College communications skills assessment.
*math courses that are beyond the student’s College math skills assessment level.
*a failed Centennial course, unless the external course was completed after receiving the Centennial failed grade.

Prior to applying for transfer credit, please ensure you have the following documents ready:

1. Official Transcript (Unofficial transcript is not acceptable)
    a. Hardcopy (ALL pages - upload scanned copy OR a clear/legible picture using a smartphone)
    OR
    b. Transcript from ontariocolleges.ca (upload screenshot or clear/legible picture using a smartphone)
2. Official course outline/syllabus from the institution where the course was taken (must be from the year the course was taken; course description is not acceptable)
3. For credits obtained outside of Canada, an official:
    a. World Education Services (WES) course-by-course report (ALL pages) http://www.wes.org/fees/evaltypes.asp
    OR
    b. ICAS postsecondary comprehensive report (ALL pages) http://www.icascanada.ca/institutions-organizations/reports.aspx
Documents in languages other than English or French MUST be accompanied by a certified or notarized English translation.

Please note, that all documents to be uploaded must be in one of the following formats: pdf, jpg, jpeg, bmp, gif, tiff, png

Transfer credit will be granted if your previous course’s learning outcomes and contact hours match 80% (or more) of those of the Centennial course for which you have applied, and you have achieved a minimum "C" grade (further restrictions, such as a higher grade requirement or skill assessment placement level, may apply depending on program/courses).

While we recommend applying for all transfer credits at the beginning of your program, you are welcome to apply any time prior to semesterly deadlines.

To apply for a Transfer Credit for a course in the following semester, your deadline is:
Summer 2024: Thursday, May 2, 2024

Note: Please be advised, during the summer there is a longer than usual turnaround time for transfer credits.
